DESCRIPTION:Please register for this event here. Abstract: Real world learn
ing scenarios involve a nonstationary distribution of classes with sequent
ial dependencies among the samples\, in contrast to the standard machine l
earning formulation of drawing samples independently from a fixed\, typica
lly uniform distribution. Furthermore\, real world interactions demand lea
rning and evaluation on-the-fly\, where new classes are learned online\, f
rom few or no class labels. I will describe benchmark datasets and models
we have developed towards this aim. I will also discuss recent work in whi
 ch the learning can be…
