The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) has honoured our own Dr. Michael Friedlander this year as a part of the 2024 Class of SIAM Fellows. SIAM Fellows represent a distinguished group of individuals who are helping to advance the fields of applied mathematics, computational science, and data science. Dr. Friedlander is one of 26 individuals included in the 2024 Class of SIAM Fellows. His nomination was in recognition of his outstanding research and service to the community in the area of theoretical and applied contributions to convex and nonconvex optimization.
