Dr. Trevor Campbell Wins 2023 PIMS/UBC Mathematical Sciences Early Career Award

The Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) awards the PIMS/UBC Mathematical Sciences Early Career Award in recognition of UBC researchers for their leading-edge work in mathematics or its applications in the sciences.  This award is restricted to UBC faculty members who are within 10 years of their PhD on January 1 of the year of nomination.  This year it was announced that the 2023 PIMS/UBC Mathematical Sciences Early Career Award was being bestowed to Dr. Trevor Campbell.

Dr. Trevor Campbell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at UBC.  His research focuses on automated, scalable Bayesian inference algorithms, Bayesian nonparametrics, streaming data, and Bayesian theory.  Dr. Campbell is a CAIDA and AIM-SI member, and is an active part of the UBC community.
